This is the reference design for implementing our parking gate control solution by ordering online our smart devices and registering on our cloud app and configure your system with only basic IT background.

To start implementing your parking system you need to purchase our IOT subscription according to the number of devices that will be used in your system. This subscription is a yearly access per device so in case you have one entry and one exit gate you will need to buy 2 device licenses. If you have a camera to capture the plate number you will have to buy one additional license per camera and so on.

To start implementing your parking system you need to purchase one IOT Gateway from our shop online. This IOT controller has a LED display to welcome your guests at the entry gate. It can also have connection to up to 2 barrier gates to open one entry and one exit arm barriers.

After you buy your subscription you will receive a welcome email with credentials to login to the cloud parking platform. Please follow the instructions in the email for the next steps.

First, you need to configure your system by setting all parameters like the parking name, the number of gates and defining each gate name and parameters as per the user manual. You will also need to download the unique QR code for each gate and print on a static sign and install this sign in a location accessible by the car driver to use his mobile app to scan this QR code.

Once you receive the IOT controller you can install it near the entry gate so that the LED display is visible to the guest driving his car into your parking. Next you will need to provide Internet service for the IOT controller that can be by direct Ethernet cable or by providing a WIFI service through an access point or an Internet router in the gatehouse.

Once the IOT controller is online then it can open the gate and show welcome messages to your guest once he scans the QR code located near the entry or exit gates.

In. case you need to have offline operation in case of Internet outage for example you can buy our IOT Gateway from our online shop and login to its web interface to access your cloud account and do all management feature available on the could even if no Internet service is available until the Internet service is restored and the gateway synchronise with the cloud app.

An additional feature is also available with our IOT Gateway which is to run our License plate recognition module which would require an LPR license per camera and will run on the local gateway to capture the number plate of each entering and exiting vehicle and store this information on the cloud app.

It can still match the the entry and exit events between the mobile user profile with the plate number of the captured vehicle plate at both entry and exit to validate the same user wen out with the same vehicle he entered with.

Once you receive the IOT Controller you can install near the entry gate and connect a 2 core cable to one or two gate barriers to control entry and exit arm barriers. The IOT controller will need to have Internet access whether by direct Ethernet connection or through a WIFI router installed at the gatehouse.

Once your guest download our free OpenPark app, he can charge his mobile wallet through popular bank cards and then request your subscription or just scan the entry QR code. Once the cloud app recognise the user has enough balance in his wallet it sends the command to the installed IOT controller to open the barrier and start a parking session for the user that he can track on his mobile app.

When the user decides to leave and scan the QR code at the exit gate, the cloud app will check his balance and deduct the amount consumed during his stay if he is not a member and then sends the command to the IOT controller to open the exit gate.
